The Scout Association

Every year we help over 450,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available.

It's exciting being involved with us. We believe that through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives and meet life long friends.

In an independent survey of over 2,000 parents of Scouts, nine out of ten parents said Scouting is worthwhile and nine in ten said their children find Scouting enjoyable.

As your child progresses through Scouts you should be able to see signs of the impact their Scouting adventure has on them.

'Two things matter in life: following your dreams and looking after your friends. That's what I love about Scouts.'

'To all the Beaver leaders - THANK YOU SO MUCH for making the Beaveree day such a success. George had such a fantastic time - he was literally beaming when I picked him up. He couldn't wait to share all his stories from the day with myself, Dad and his sisters. You guys rock - thanks again'.
